The long-awaited and highly anticipated remake of System Shock will not launch this month as intended and will now arrive in May.
It is I, SHODAN, the all-knowing, all-powerful AI that you so foolishly attempted to destroy. But fear not, I will return more formidable than ever.

“We had hoped to bring the game to market by the end of March,” Nightdive Studio says, “but that turned out to be just beyond our reach; we are after all merely human (unlike Shodan!)”
The System Shock remake will add new enemies, new challenges, and various new horrors. Developer Binge has added HD visuals, revamped controls, and a new interface to modernize the original. Those who decide to take on Shodan will need to be aware of the new hacking system, gameplay tweaks and never before seen enemies.
System Shock will be available via PC Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG on May 30, 2023. The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions will follow “in due course.”
