Well, looks like Nintendo is very much getting fans excited for the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet with the reveal of the 9th generation’s own colourful Nintendo Switch OLED Model. The hybrid console’s special edition is set to launch two weeks before the release of the game on November 4th.
The OLED Model sticks to the theme of both games with a colourful scarlet and violet look to it linking to each game’s respective legendaries. Out of the box, you’ll get a mismatch scarlet and violet joy cons, a unique sticker-like design of the game’s starters on the back of the console, and a dock that features a beautiful design of Koraidon and Miraidon, both game’s legendary Pokémon. In North America, the Scarlet and Violet Nintendo Switch OLED model special edition Nintendo Switch OLED Model will cost $359.99 USD and $469.99 CAD respectively which is a little bit more ($10 USD/$20 CAD) than the standard OLED Model.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet were both announced earlier this year as a part of a February edition of Pokémon Presents. The 9th generation versions will continue Pokémon Legends: Arceus‘ open-world setting in a mainline entry in the region of Paldea which is seemingly inspired by Mediterranean Spain. As the tradition of past games, players planning to pick up the game will be able to start their journey by choosing between Scarlet and Violet’s three starters which include Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are set to release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 18th.
