SEGA Europe late last night announced that they’re bringing the epic tales of Shenmue I and Shenmue II to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC sometime later this year. Prepare to embark on a thrilling journey through faithful recreations of Japan and Hong Kong in a saga of revenge and mystery. Shenmue I & II will release both physically and digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in 2018.
Since being released, Shenmue I & II have amassed an impressive fan base and has been hailed as one of the best video game series of all time. Shenmue I & II will come complete with the feature set found in the original games that defined the video games of its generation. Get ready for enthralling jujitsu combat, investigative sleuthing and RPG elements, as well as memorable mini-games. Shenmue features an engrossing real-time open-world complete with day and night cycles, weather changes, and civilians on their own schedule.
This will be the best Shenmue experience to date. These re-releases will take the same features from the original releases and modernize them for current generation gaming. The screen resolution will be fully scalable, you have a choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, and your choice of an English or Japanese voiceover.
