While we’ve had an idea that Rocksteady’s next game, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is a Games as a Service title for WB Games and well a new leaked screenshot from the game’s menu all confirm this fact. Now the image first popped up on the 4chan forum which heavily revealed the game’s battle pass and other online features but was later confirmed by VGC via its sources close to the game’s development.
The image isn’t from an older version of the game as it is believed to originate from a recent testing build of the game says the sources who add that a battle pass is being planned which will have more of a focus on cosmetic items (i.e. skins). Another aspect of the leaked image is the multiple currencies that players will have at their disposal which from what can be gathered will be used for XP to help customize the player’s unique skill tree for their character of choice.
“You don’t start off debuffed and weak. You just start off great and can get ridiculous, like Arkham Knight’s Batman,” the source told VGC.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is described in marketing as a “genre-bending action-adventure shooter” set in Rocksteady’s Batman Arkhamverse but this time around from the much brighter setting of Metropolis. Players will be able to explore the game’s open world in other solo or up to four-player co-op from the perspective of Suicide Squad members – Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark.
The team of government-contracted villains is given the seemingly impossible task of killing a brainwashed Justice League and saving the planet, but no pressure, right? More notable is the game will be the last time that Kevin Conroy will don the cowl following his passing back in November who was confirmed as Batman back at the most recent Game Awards ceremony.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 26th.
