The second iteration of DC FanDome is currently taking place and celebrates the legacy of the DC brand, from comics to television. Today’s event also includes some of the games coming out next year, including Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from Rocksteady Games.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can be played solo or with up to four players in online co-op. Featuring an original narrative set in the DC universe, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League takes place in a richly detailed open-world Metropolis. The story follows Suicide Squad members Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang and King Shark who must take on an impossible mission to save Earth and kill the world’s greatest DC Super Heroes, The Justice League. Restrained with lethal explosives implanted in their heads, all four DC Super-Villains have no choice but to band together and carry out this untenable assignment as part of Amanda Waller’s infamous Task Force X.
Today’s trailer gave us our first look at members of the Justice League, including The Flash, Green Lantern, Super Man and the humour of Task Force X. We get a look at Debra Wilson’s Amanda Waller and how taking on the league of superheroes is the worst idea ever. I think my favourite bit in the trailer is how The Penguin is treated at the end, given how the anti-heroes seems to be treating Cobblepot like trash.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to launch in 2022.
