As previously teased last year, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin’s third and final expansion will add three new jobs for Jack and his allies as they embark on one last adventure through time and space.
With the help of a mysterious Moogle, Jack and company head to what the Lufenians call Central. It is here where your party will encounter The Emporer, the main antagonist of Final Fantasy II.
The Lufenian you encounter is described as a ‘darkly deluded’ Lufenian capable of interfering with dimensions. With a desire to restore the world to its former order and beauty, this new threat is capable of summoning weapons from other worlds.
It looks like the Omega Weapon will be a challenge for Jack and his friends as it hunts them to bring them down.
The Emporer is tracking the Moogle you encounter, but it isn’t clear why he is hunting the creature.
Lastly, the three jobs are the Musketeer which comes with the Job Action “Stun Bullet,” preventing enemies from performing unblockable attacks. The second job is the Hunter, which comes with the Job Action “Analyse,” a counter move that increases each time you attack, with the higher count piercing enemy resistance. The third and final job is the Gambler, with the Job Action “Roulette,” a move that summons a spinning wheel to use any two abilities at random.
You can also use Imitation Material to increase synthesis possibilities. Also, Fabrication is a new system available at the blacksmith. This mechanic allows you to make replicas of equipment with Imitation Material.
Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin Different Future launches on January 27, 2023.
