While I adore Pokémon Pinball on the Game Boy, I received it as a gift when I was a child. Now, though, I’m an adult and make my own damn money. I need you, reader, to convince me not to buy this Pokémon-themed Pinball machine.
Stern Pinball has officially unveiled its Pokémon-themed tables after teasing them last week. The company has now revealed three versions, all of which are expensive. If you’re looking to add one to your house/bar/wherever you prefer, be prepared to spend thousands of dollars.
You can choose between the Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition (LE) models, and each table includes Pokémon-themed ramps, spinners, and targets. Plus, there’s an animatronic Pikachu which reacts to gameplay. Team Rocket and Giovanni are also waiting for you at the table as the Meowth Balloon lurks to challenge you
“Today we’re proud to finally deliver the long-awaited Pokémon by Stern Pinball machine,” Seth Davis, CEO and President of Stern, said in a press release. “This game is a true celebration of nostalgia, craftsmanship, and the enduring adventure of Pokémon – brought to life in a whole new way through immersive pinball gameplay, thrilling battles, and the timeless excitement of catching Pokémon.”
Stern says these machines start at $7,000 USD for the Pro, $ 9,700 for the Premium, and $13,000 for the Limited Edition.
