Starbreeze Offices Raided Days After Bankruptcy

Earlier this week, we reported that Starbreeze, the publisher behind games like PayDay 2 and the recently released Overkill’s The Walking Dead had filed for reconstruction and it’s CEO would step down.

A mere two days later, Starbreeze’s office was raided by the authorities according to Dagens Industri. As a result of this, one person was arrested.

From what we know, executives at the studio sold their shares of the company a few weeks ago, cue to this week and the announcement that the company had requested reconstruction is curious. Since the news has gotten out, stock prices for the studio dropped by nearly 80 percent.

While the studio is currently dealing with all this terrible news, know that Overkill’s The Walking Dead is still set for release on consoles in February.
