Apple’s App Store is getting in on the action with a reminder that they have some great ways to enjoy and embrace your Star Wars fandom on the go. Coming off the heels of the recent release of Jedi Survivor, why not expand the experience any way you can!?
The Star Wars App is always a good place to start, with direct links to news items, trailers, social media updates from official accounts, and goofy but fun side content like customizable selfies with some of your favourite characters.
For gamers, Apple Arcade has always been a great place to find some fantastic hidden gems on mobile devices. Whether it be iPhone or iPad, you can find some Star Wars fun on May the 4th and beyond. LEGO Star Wars: Castaways is a surprisingly solid version of the massively popular LEGO Star Wars series on consoles and PC. It gives you a chance to play a variety of game types like racing and top-down battles, complete with some solid character customization. Apple Arcade has some exclusives behind its monthly subscription, but if you’re a fan of mobile gaming its a small price to pay for some really solid gaming on the go.
For a premium cost you can also take one of the most renowned Star Wars games ever on your device. Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is a great RPG that any fan should experience one way or another. Initially released for consoles and PC in 2003, it may not look the best (though it has been updated), but the story is where the game really shines. It’s hard to find a deep RPG like this on mobile devices and why take May the 4th as your chance to dig into one?
Finally, there’s free-to-play title Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes. While not as deep or engaging in the same way KOTOR is, a free experience might be where your heads at for May the 4th. The turn-based combat and team centered game brings together dozens of characters from the universe over the years and is a decent way to kill some free time if a bigger experience is not your thing at the moment.
