In case you missed it, Aspyr Media revealed at Star Wars Celebration that it intends to bring Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords to Switch next month.
The classical RPG will land on June 8 and will include enhancements and a planned release of the Restored Content DLC.
“We’re really grateful that we get to work on such amazing and beloved titles for fans of the original game and new ones exploring these experiences for the first time,” says Michael Blair, senior director of Business Development at Aspyr. “With the resolution updates, performance optimizations, and The Sith Lords Restored Content DLC coming post-launch, we hope gamers will see this becoming one of the ideal platforms to dive into the galaxy showcased in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords.”
The Restored Content is what was left out way back in 2004 when Obsidian rushed the game to market. There have been fan-driven mods made available on Steam with the attempts to add said content back but this is the first time it is officially being released and will include the entire planet that was cut from the release.
The Switch version will now be the definitive release but it’s a nice gesture for fans who have wanted this to happen.
