EA has announced the open beta for Star Wars Battlefront 2 has been extended. The upcoming online multiplayer went into closed beta on October 4, with an open beta beginning on October 6. The beta was set to end last night, but due to popularity, the open beta has been extended until October 11. I think due to the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer dropping late last night, the sheer excitement and hype behind seeing a new trailer, is partially behind the decision for this.

Word on the beta has been mixed, players aren’t fond of the way guns handle, but the improvement to content and game modes had been positive. Over the weekend, I spent some time playing Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault, while I wasn’t too keen on Galactic Assault due to how weapons handled, I was ecstatic playing as a TIE Fighter and X-Wing, even earning enough points to pilot the Millenium Falcon. I would hope DICE takes feedback to heart and tunes the way guns work because that’s my only issue with the game.
