Square Enix is back with another Star Ocean The Second Story R bit of news as today’s trailer focuses on Ashton Anchors.

Ashton’s an Expellian, born and raised on the planet before a wandering mercenary. In his travels, Ashton eventually meets Claude and Rena and, in an accident, is possessed by a two-headed dragon called Creepy and Weepy. In Star Ocean 2: The Second Story, Ashton is an optional character to recruit to the party.
You’ll also want him on your team as he dual-wields daggers and imbues them with Symbology to significant effect. He’s a great character to recruit into your party and is worth investing your time into if, for his story alone, that is one of the better stories in-game.
Star Ocean: The Second Story R launches on Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC on November 2, 2023.
