After more than 11 years with Ubisoft, David Grivel has left the company.
Per IGN, it shows that Grivel, the director of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell Remake announced his departure on LinkedIn after working on some of the French developer’s biggest tiles including Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Far Cry Primal, 5, 6.
While it isn’t clear what this means for Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell Remake, it is exciting to see Grivel excited for his new adventure – one that he says we’ll hear more about soon.
It isn’t a surprise Ubisoft is bleeding talent as it struggles to clean the rot that is embedded into the company’s morals and departments. For years, employees have faced harassment issues stemming from executives, leading to an exodus of talent to leave the studio where better money and working conditions are available.
Ubisoft has been quiet on the Splinter Cell Remake front with the only news stemming from the original reveal back in December 2021.
