Following a countdown that was revealed last week, Atlus has announced Soul Hackers 2, a sub-series of Devil Summoner. The original launched on Sega Saturn where it has since been ported several times with the most recent being on the 3DS.
Atlus says the sequel inherits the essence of Devil Summoner: Soul Hacker while improving on several key aspects including an upgraded art style, additions to the RPG system and more.
Soul Hackers 2 focuses on an ongoing war between two factions of Devil Summoners as the world is on the brink of collapse. When the two Agents of Aion, Ringo and Figure, are tasked with stopping the impending apocalypse, we join the two on their mission to make things right.
Furthermore, Eiji Ishida and Mitsus Hirata will produce and direct and are joined by MONACA, features character designs by Shirow Miwa, and production manager Shinjiro Takata.
We won’t have to wait long as Soul Hackers 2 launches for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on August 26.
