It’s time for companies to publish their financial reports for the year, and judging by what Sony’s reports look like, they had a good year!
Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed that since launching in November 2013, the PlayStation 4 has shipped a total of 67.5 million units around the world – that’s a whopping amount of consoles sold by any standard. The PlayStation 4 sold roughly 4 million units from July to September, which is another impressive feat.
With a brilliant show put on during yesterday’s Paris Games Week conference, Sony is soaring with an impressive library games available currently, and more on the way pretty far into next year. Games like God of War, The Last of Us Part II, and Shadow of the Colossus leading the way, it’s easy to see why so many consoles are moving, and Sony even estimates by April of next year, the company will cross 80 million units sold.
