I guess everybody wants in on the reveal streams? With Nintendo we have Directs and Nindie Showcases of late, Xbox has their Inside Xbox show, and now, Sony’s doing their own called State of Play and it’s happening on Monday, March 25 at 5:00 PM EST.
So what’s the event even all about? Well, according to them the first episode focuses on “upcoming PS4 and PS VR software, including new trailers, new game announcements and new gameplay footage.” Also, Sony wants you to know that this is only the beginning and to expect episodes like this in the future. This program could likely be a replacement for Sony’s traditional E3 presence since they are among the many who aren’t attending the annual industry event in June.
Who knows though, after last year’s laid back, somewhat uncomfortable and underwhelming conference, this is for the better. No Nintendo and no Sony this year but Microsoft is likely to tear the roof off once again after the best conference in years from them.
