DONTNOD, the developer behind Life is Strange and Vampyr, has revealed a new title today called Twin Mirrors, a psychological story-driven title that is set for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with Bandai Namco handling publishing duties.
Playing as Sam, the story takes place in Basswood, Virginia, where a funeral is being held for his best friend. Dealing with a serious breakup, returning to his hometown has been an enlightening experience as he meets former friends, however, things soon take a turn for the worst as Sam wakes up one day in his hotel covered in blood. The game has you trying to recall the night before, piecing together Sam’s whereabouts and searching for clues.
Twin Mirror is a psychological thriller wrapped around an investigation where your memories, choices, and relationships will determine Sam’s complicated fate. As he comes to terms with heartbreak, homecoming, and the perpetual struggle of adulthood, Sam will need your help exploring a dark and emotional adventure where the line between truth and deception is blurred.
Twin Mirrors will be out in 2019 but I’m sure we’ll hear more next week at E3.
