The success of the Sonic the Hedgehog films has been exciting to watch unfold. It is one of the few video game franchises that have been able to translate to film and keep what made the video games so special.
Paramount Pictures and Sega seem to know this too, as the studio and publisher have confirmed that the third film will launch on December 20, 2024.

From the innocuous tweet, we can see that Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles will return. We also have a massive hint at what the three best friends will go up against in the third film thanks to a mid-credit scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
The second film grossed over $400 million within three months of launching globally back in March.
Additionally, Sega and Paramount have confirmed we’re getting a live-action television spin-off featuring Knuckles in 2023.
