Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Moves To Paramount

We reported that the in-development Sonic the Hedgehog movie was set for release from Sony, with Deadpool director Tim Miller producing as well as Jeff Fowler directing the blue streak. This idea was shelved.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Paramount has acquired the rights to develop a Sonic the Hedgehog movie with Fast and Furious producer Neal Mortiz’s production company.

Tim Miller will serve as executive producer and Jeff Fowler will direct the movie, which will blend both CGI and live-action together.

This isn’t Sonic’s first dive into feature film either, as he appeared in 2013’s Wreck-it Ralph from Disney, and has starred in many cartoons over the years, most recently starring in Sonic Boom.
