After Sonic Frontiers launched last year, Sega came out with a road map of content players could expect to see post-launch. Keeping good on that promise, today we know when the first content drop is coming and it should be within a few days.
The first content drop is called “Sights, Sounds, and Speed,” and this update will add new content for each zone in Sonic Frontiers. Players will have access to a new Challenge Mode available to them once they complete the campaign. This new mode offers Cyber Space Challenge and Battle Rush—via the title screen. Space Challenge is a time-attack mode where players compete to beat the clock and finish as many Cyber Space stages in a row. Battle Rush is similarly a timed-battle mode where you fight multiple enemies, Guardians, and Titans.
Photo Mode is coming to Starfall Islands finally so you can stop and take tons of incredible photos of the island with Sonic as your guide.
Lastly, the Jukebox is coming with 53 songs available with only 13 available to begin with and the rest being unlocked by collecting Sound Memories across each island.
Sonic Frontiers’s first expansion “Sights, Sounds, and Speed” launches on March 22.
