Sonic Central started at 11 AM ET today with Ivo Gerscovich, Chief Brand & Business Officer, and Takashi Iizuka, Creative Officer, introducing themselves. Today’s Sonic’s birthday and the pair wanted to celebrate with fans by revealing new Sonic games, shows, and more.
Sonic Origins Plus
Out today, Sonic Origins Plus expands the collection by adding new content including 12 Game Gear titles, and for the first time ever, Amy Rose as a playable character in Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD. You can also play as Knuckles in Sonic CD with all new level paths designed for his unique abilities. The Game Gear titles are emulated and playable in the museum and include:

The Starfall Islands have been decked out with balloons, streamers, party hats and more to celebrate the blue blur’s birthday. There are new challenges to master and new moves, including a spin dash, a new collectible Koco, New Game Plus mode, available today.

Classic Sonic in Sonic Speed Simulator in Roblox is getting a Tuxedo Classic Sonic skin today.
Sonic Prime
A new season kicks off on Netflix in July, and Shadow the Hedgehog is coming. Working with Sonic, the two must restore reality after our hero shattered dimensions, leaving us with familiar but entirely new depictions of fan-favourite characters. Even Metal Sonic was teased at the end of the trailer.
Sonic Prime Dash is also coming to mobile. Super Silver is also coming to Sonic Force and Sonic Dash. Dragon Hunter Lancelot is coming in July, and classic Super Sonic comes later this year.
Samba De Amigo: Party Central
Escape from the City and Fist Bump are coming to Samba De Amigo later this summer with a level based on City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2.
Sonic Symphony World Tour

Sonic Superstars
Takashi Iizuka and Naoto Ohshima joined the stream to discuss Sonic Superstars. The idea behind this entry was to be an evolution of the 2D series, so they went 3D and brought in nostalgic characters like Fang.
There’s a four-player co-op, and fans will enjoy what the team has worked on. If you head to the game’s website, an exclusive in-game reward will be available at launch.
Brands are also collaborating with Sega on the launch, and you can play as Lego Sonic in Sonic Superstars. Lego Eggman is also a skin for those who pre-0rder.
