The amount of time between games and their remakes is getting less and less, as during its 2026 Visions “Craftmanship” event, developer LEVEL-5 announced Snack World: Reloaded, a remake of 2020’s Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold. A launch date or window was not announced, but the release is slated for PC via Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, plus a trailer of how the game will look and play.
LEVEL-5 stated during the stream that its revised version is aiming to “deliver an immersive experience that feels like stepping into a beautifully crafted diorama” with enhanced graphics alongside major refinements to gameplay and controls. Additionally, a new game mode is being planned that will put players in the control of Chup from the 2017 anime and see their story play out. LEVEL-5 goes as far to say that the remake is being developed at their studio at such scale that Reloaded might as well be a brand new game..
Snack World officially kicked off as a franchise for LEVEL-5 with the 2018 Japan-only game The Snack World: Trejarers which Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold is an enhanced port; the bones of the same game is getting a third chance in the remake.
