Signs of the Sojourner is a narrative tale from Echodog Games, in which you’ll learn the art of human connection. And the score slap if I do say so.
Using what the developer is describing as “an emotive deck of cards,” the player will explore how relationships work, how they for, and how they break before learning how they mend. Playing as a boy in charge of his mother’s shop after her death, you’ll explore the world while seeking treasures to sell in your mother’s store. Join and grow a caravan by playing cards with charming characters or venture off on your own, forging bonds and changing the story to come.
Each card encounter you come across requires you to match the symbols for empathy, logic, and other approaches to create friendships, as well as build alliances. Every conversation offers a new experience and how you interact with people changes your card deck, where you elave something behind while moving onto something new in each encounter.
Signs of the Sojourner is out on PC and Mac via Steam on May 14, 2020, with Nintendo Switch arriving later in the year.
