Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance New Details Revealed in Complete Guide

Atlus gave us our most complete look at Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance last night.

The generous, nearly 15-minute-long deep dive showed off our return to the world of 2021’s Shin Megami Tensei V, as it has been enhanced in almost every way for a cross-platform release.

As in the past Atlus revamps, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance updates the existing game’s story with a new story route titled Canon of Vengeance. The new story path functions as a standalone story that can be chosen instead of the original Canon of Creation shortly after the game’s main introduction.

In the new story, four Demons and a mysterious new girl appear to make things difficult for us.

Regarding the series staple of Demons, the brilliant Masayuki Doi is back with a collection of new creations for you to influence and fight alongside. Combined with past Demons, there are now over 270 out there for you to collect.

Special energy Magatushi can now be stored and released in the for of devastating Magatushi Skills.

In order to use these skills, you’ll need to experiment with combinations of Demons during battle.

While this process will involve trial and error, you can use Demon’s Innate Skills to indicate how they might help or hurt Magatushi Skills.

New Demon Haunts function as camps where you can talk to Demons and humans an, give gifts, and build bonds that will help in battle.

It also features a free camera mode to scope out all those Demon details and take photos of your crew!

While these are the core additions to the game, another 50 Quality of Life updates are made to help you with both adventures.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is available June 14th across consoles and PC. Pre-orders are underway now.
