Consider this a good start to the New Year! Several former Hearthstone developers, including Ben Brode, are making a game. The bunch of them left Blizzard last year and have since gotten together to from a studio. The other exciting piece of news includes that their firs game will be a Marvel game!
The studio, Second Dinner, is an indie joint. Brode is joined by several former Blizzard employees and today, they revealed that their first game will be a Marvel property with an investment from Chinese company NetEase. They are investing $30 million into the studio. They also announced that they would open an office in Irvine, California.
“The Second Dinner team has a strong track record of delivering quality games,” said VP of NetEase, Ethan Wang. “With the resources and creative freedom, they now have, we look forward to what they will come up with next.”

Funnily enough, NetEase – the one who funded Second Dinner, is the face of Blizzard in China. They are also working on the lauded Diablo Immortal.
