The time has come to take photos of gods. Housemarque’s stellar bullet hell Saros is adding a “Photo Mode” to help players capture their triumphs… and hopefully their many, many, many deaths as well.
With Photo Mode — now available — players can pause the action and compose cinematic shots using a range of camera, lens, lighting, colour, and framing options.
Encapsulate your intense combat encounters, atmospheric environments, or quiet character moments and bring more life to Saros.
The camera operates freely for full control over positioning, framing, and angle adjustments.
Benefit from all the tools of artistic expression, including: lens and depth-of-field settings; lighting controls; exposure, contrast, saturation, and other image adjustment tools; filters, frames, and visual effects; and the ability to hide character models and user interfaces.
In our review for Saros, we said that it “feels like a proper evolution of Returnal’s mechanics. It’s bold, it’s exciting, thrilling even. Each time Arjun heads out in search of answers yields clues to the truth behind Carcosa and those burdened by its existence. Joining PlayStation Studios gives developers the resources to create something truly special, and it shows in the narrative and in the console’s implementation. There’s nothing else out there like Saros, and it’s a testament to the studio’s history of taking a concept and turning it into something special.”
