Even long after its devastating demise, Telltale Games continues to give back.
Just in time for the Holidays, Skunkape Games — a small indie team made up of former Telltale Games employees, four of whom worked on the original Sam & Max, — will release their sophomore Sam & Max HD remaster: Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space.
Comprised of Five episodic investigations Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space tells some of the weirdest and most wonderful adventures of the titular Freelance Police duo, a well-dressed dog and crazy rabbit-like thing since they leapt off the pages of legendary American cartoonist Steve Purcell. Experience these adventures with gorgeous HD graphics, a proper 16:9 aspect ratio, overhauled lighting and lip sync, finessed cinematography, remastered audio, and eight all-new musical tracks featuring live, on-the-floor jazz musicians. Character models and sets have been punched up in order to bring the game closer to Purcell’s extremely personal brand of penmanship.
The team originally set out to remaster Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space for PC Only, but came to realize that there’s so much more they hope to achieve. And so on December 8th, Sam and Max hit PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox for $22.99 CAD.
