Following SaGa Emerald Beyond‘s reveal at this past Nintendo Direct, Square Enix gave us another look at the game in a new trailer as part of TGS kicking off today in Japan.
The upcoming entry in the long-running SaGa franchise is internally being developed at Square Enix. It is set to build on the mechanics of 2015’s SaGa: Scarlet Grace and will feature expanded narrative and gameplay. The 2024 entry will see the return of series composer Kenji Ito, with character designs being handled by Satoshi Kuramochi.
Players can explore 17 worlds connected through a Realm called Beyond as you play from the perspective of six unique characters as their unique branching stories unfold based on their own choices and actions. SaGa Emerald Beyond will feature turn-based gameplay through combos with no traditional experience system as characters learn new skills through Glimmers.
SaGa Emerald Beyond is set to launch on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, iOS & Android in 2024.
