Sumo Digital has launched the online component to last month’s Sackboy: A Big Adventure in addition to being able to transfer your save file from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5.
New Waterhouse, the Design Director at Sumo Digital took time to talk about the update on the PlayStation Blog. He mentioned that you can play the whole game with up to three companions. Also, there are ten dedicated Teamwork Levels that you and your friends must work together on to complete. There are two Teamwork Levels in each of the five main game worlds.
A big part of the original Little Big Planet trilogy was annoying your friends, grabbing at their character, and for me, slapping them as much as possible. That trend continues in Sackboy: A Big Adventure, as you and your friends can now annoy each other and you can also emote with your friends. You can unlock co-op emotes with collectabells or discover them in prize bubbles. Equip co-op emotes in the wardrobe at Zom Zom’s and use them by pressing the D-Pad and having your buddy stand next to you and press the D-Pad too.
Cross-play and cross-save are now available, you can play with friends who own the game on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5. When you’re ready to transfer your save to a new console, you can transfer it by going into the menus in Sackboy: A Big Adventure on PlayStation 4, going to Extras and following the instructions.
