The third project revealed today by Gearbox Publishing to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Risk of Rain series is a remake of the original game. It is called Risk of Rain Returns and is a complete remake.
Gearbox calls the project a revitalized classic and features enhanced visuals with an updated codebase to make the game better for players. With additional Survivors, stages, items, mechanics, and a remastered soundtrack, Risk of Rain Returns is loaded with new ways to play, so no two runs will ever be the same.
