To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Risk of Rain series, Gearbox Publishing revealed several projects set in the Risk of Rain franchise.
The first bit of news out of today’s announcement was for Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm, the second expansion for the popular roguelike. The new expansion is said to feature new Survivors, new items, enemies, stages, and more.
Gearbox says the expansion includes new lore as it introduces The False Son, a new antagonist constructed by the Lemurians in Providence’s image and corrupted by the Mithrix’s Beads of Fealty. At launch, there will also be day and night phases, allowing players to interact with the world in new ways.
The expansion will include Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
