Housemarque’s Returnal will launch on February 15 on PC, Sony has confirmed.
Up until today, few details were available regarding the port and what you could expect at launch. Now, we know that NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR have been added along with NVIDIA NIS to see an increase in framerate while compromising. NIS also adds a similar bump to performance but for those who don’t have hardware with DLSS or FSR.
Returnal will also have ray-traced shadows with support from CLimax Studios working on reflections.
Sony also revealed a specs chart for what you’ll need to get a minimal/maximum experience, which we’ve included below:
For those who like 3D audio, it looks like Returnal features Dolby Atmos with 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound also available. There is custom ray-traced audio to immerse yourself in the world.
If you intend on using a DualSense on PC, the haptics is available at launch alongside the adaptive triggers. There is also support for keyboard and mouse.
