Rockstar Games held out on us for a year and I think the wait was worth it after watching the latest trailer for the upcoming PC port. In the trailer, we get a really good look at what the world of Red Dead looks like in 4K and running and a smooth 60 frames per second.
According to Rockstar, they’ve done a lot of work to get the Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and the trailer shows some of that. We see ” increased draw distances, improved shadows and lighting, new grass and fur textures, and much more – complemented by a host of exciting new content additions for the game’s Story Mode.”
I’m curious to see what improvements in terms of content are coming to Story Mode personally, but the developer also states that we’ll see more fidelity in everything from “claw marks of a passing bear at the base of a tree in Big Valley and the individual spines on a cactus in New Austin, to a train passing on a far horizon and embers sparkling in the New Hanover night sky.”
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available for PC on November 5th
