Einstein Barnes, the best boy in Red Dead Redemption 2, has passed. The news comes from an Instagram post from his owner Jason Barnes. For those unfamiliar with Einstein, he performed motion captioning for Cain.
“Einstein was truly one of a kind. From the moment we met, we formed a deep bond, and it was clear that we were destined for countless adventures together,” Jason Barnes wrote. “You possessed an uncanny intelligence, earning you the name Einstein; even if, at times, the name felt like a joke.”
In Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur alongside Jack discovers Cain, a stray who wanders into the gang’s camp and soon decides to stay with them.
“Though our time together has come to an end, your memory will live on forever. Red Dead Redemption 2 may immortalize you as Cain, but it is the memories we created together that truly preserve your spirit. The lessons you taught me about loyalty, love, and living life to the fullest will never be forgotten.”
Sad news to share, our Animation Director's very good boy we showed in a mocap suit back in 2021, Einstein, has passed away.

Barnes had since left Rockstar and moved to inExile where Einstein had helped out once again on a project where he provided the motion capture.
Einstein, my bestest boy, as we bid you farewell today, know that you were cherished, loved, and appreciated beyond measure. The void you leave behind is immeasurable, but the imprint you’ve left on our lives will never fade.
