Ravenlok

Ravenlok Launches May 4, Lands On Xbox Game Pass Day And Date

Toronto-based Cococucumber’s next game Ravenlok will launch on May 4. The team that is best known for Echo Generation and Riverbond has been one of the indie developers you need to keep your eyes on as they continue to craft and deliver some of the finest Canadian video games you can play today.

It also helps that the studio knows how to take a fairy tale and turn it on its head as Kira’s adventure in her new home pulls inspiration from some of the all-time great authors including  C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.

“Growing up in Malaysia, classics by J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Studio Ghibli allowed me to open a portal into another world, into a realm of imagination and possibilities,” said Vanessa Chia, Producer and Director at Cococucumber. “Through this fable about the fight for a creative life, we hope that the adventures of Ravenlok can bring a sense of escapism and joy to all.”

Playing as Kira, who like any child after a move, wants to make friends. In an old barn, Kira comes upon a mirror that takes her to a strange and magical realm. It is here that Kira then takes up the mantle of Ravenlok to help the troubled Realm of Dunia and stop the queen.

Ravenlok will launch for Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC. It will also be arriving on Xbox Game Pass day and date.
