Marvelous Announces Project Magia, Project Life is RPG, And Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion

During yesterday’s Marvelous Games Showcase, several projects were revealed to be coming to the West, thanks to XSEED. One of the standouts among the group was Project Magia, which recruited Hiro Mashima to design the characters.

Project Magia

For those unfamiliar with Hiro Mashima’s work, the manga artist is known for working on some of the best-selling series in recent memory, including Fairy Tale, Rave Master, and Eden’s Zero.

It seems like Project Magia is currently early in development, as Marvelous had little else to show to viewers during the showcase. However, talk of Mashima’s involvement has people excited to see more of the project when the team is ready to deliver more details.

Story of Seasons

A new Story of Seasons is in development, with the central theme being “Experiences,” Hikaru Nakano provided viewers with their first look at footage of the farm/life simulator using an updated look. Nakano also revealed images from another Story of Seasons project, one he described as a game you can play with everyone.

Rune Factory

Rune Factory series director Shiro Maekawa revealed footage for two upcoming Rune Factory titles, Project Dragon, a game building on a central theme of “East and West,” with Project Dragon set in the “Land of the East,” where Earthmate explores news inspired by Japan design influenced. We also learned that Rune Factory 6 is in development and will take place on the western continent of Adonea, revealing these two titles to represent the East and the West.

Project Life is RPG

In the same stream, Director Ittesu Suzuki revealed Project Life is RPG, a brand new IP from Marvelous. The team working on this game shared its inspiration, namely the theme of “Life” and how they are developing Project Life is RPG as a role-playing game. The team is hard at work trying to capture the “feeling of anticipation” just before every great adventure.

Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion

Surprisingly, Marvelous announced Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion, a sequel in development at Marvelous’ First Studio, with help from Kenichiro Tsukuda. Aside from that, we’ll have to wait until the time is right and the developers provide another update.
