Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet

Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet’s Overview Is Brimming With Details

Today’s trailer for Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet is easily the meatiest trailer we’ve seen as it clocks in at 14 minutes and focuses on several features. If you wanted to learn more about the narratives in next month’s release, the place to start is here.

The trailer gives us a new look at the new UI (who doesn’t love UI) featured in Scarlet and Violet. The earlier moments also reveal Quaxly gameplay showing how the Water-type duckling handles against Jigglypuff. Additionally, the terrastallize feature introduced is shown off once again but I’m not sure how I feel regarding it.

Further into the trailer we are introduced to cooking mechanics players will interact with in the Paldea region. In what is called the Picnic mechanic, you can make all kinds of sandwiches at a picnic. You can begin this by choosing your condiments and fillings then you start to arrange the ingredients on your bread.

If you don’t manage to stack them properly the sandwich will topple over and it is up to you to become a sandwich master. It seems like completing this minigame will heal your Pokémon and even improve their stats.

The trailer shown today also revealed a new Girafarig evolution, Firagarif. “Both of Farigiraf’s brains are connected through thick nerves, increasing its psychic energy, and it can emit psychic waves from the antennae on its head,” reveals the creature’s official description.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will launch on November 18.
