Here’s What We Saw During Today’s Pokémon Presents

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are back with a new episode of Pokémon Presents. Following an impressive showing last week at the Nintendo Direct now is the time for Pokémon to step into the spotlight and showcase what the developers are working on in the coming months and into next year.

Kicking off today’s showcase is Tsunekazu Ishihara, the president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, revealing that today is the anniversary of the original games, Red and Blue.

Starting with new Tera Raid Battles coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you can take on Venusaur from Wednesday, February 28 to Tuesday, March 5. Then, on Wednesday, March 6, you can take on Blastoise until Tuesday, March 12, and then you can battle a Charizard from Wednesday, March 13 to Sunday, March 17.

Pokémon GO

A collaboration event between the mobile titles Pokémon GO and Pokémon Horizons: The Series is happening to celebrate the launch of the new television series, now confirmed to air on March 7 in the US on Netflix.

Pokémon Sleep

The mobile app Pokémon Sleep adds Raikou March 2024 with Entou and Suicine. You can earn 10 Poké Biscuits and 1,000 Diamonds if you log in now.

Pokémon Masters EX

The other mobile game is celebrating 4.5 years in service, and if you log in today, you can earn 3,000 gems. Also, Geeta & Glimmora will appear on Wednesday, February 28, followed by Silveer & Tyranitor on Friday, March 1. There is also confirmation that Sygna Suit Gladion & Magearna will appear.

A Photo Creator is coming, and Riley & Lucario can join your team.

Pokémon Unite

Miraidon, Falinks, and Geruledge are coming to Pokémon Unite, joining on February 27, April, and later in the year, respectively.

A special event to earn Miraidon’s Unite license is underway, and a Prize Machine draw offers 100 spins at no cost. Using code POKEDAY24, you can play as Miraidon, unlocking a 3-day limited license for Miraidon and Platinum Miraidon boost emblem.

Pokémon: The Card Game

A trailer showing tons of Pokémon Cards available to play and use on your mobile device revealed you can trade and play with your friends via your phone. It’s a new way to play the trading card game with new and immersive cards.

You can interact and examine all your new cards and even open packs on your device in a fun and engaging way.

The new game is called Pokémon: Trading Card Game Pocket and is coming later this year.

President and CEO at Creatures Inc, Yuji Kitano, joined the presentation to talk about how the card game has been developed to showcase the cards with immersive experiences (and it looks incredible from the looks of it).

Pokémon Legends Z-A

Closing out the presentation was the new game reveal, Pokémon Legends Z-A.

Here is the official video description, “Pokémon Legends: Z-A, an ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series, will launch on Nintendo Switch systems in 2025! A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
