Earlier this week, Nintendo announced a new episode of Pokémon Presents with the focus being entirely centred on showcasing the upcoming Nintendo Switch games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
Kicking off at 6:00 AM ET/9:00 AM ET, the live stream was the longest one yet lasting just under 30 minutes. Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are coming to Nintendo Switch on November 18.

Lastly, we get a new look at this year’s new duology of
Scarlet and Violet. Set in the new region of Paldea, we’ll also visit the major city of Mesagoza. For the first time ever, we’ll get a pair of professors instead of one. Furthermore, the recently revealed pair of legendaries, Koraidon and Miraidon, are rideable motorcycles. Yes, you read that right – the newest legendaries can be used to traverse the open world.Additionally, we get a look at the new Treasure Hunt feature that will weave throughout the narrative.
Lastly, we get a look at the next gimmick players will use with their partner’s new special forms called Terastallizing.
Terastal Pokémon are basically Scarlet and Violet’s version of Gigantamax from Sword and Shield. The biggest difference is that your Pokémon turns into a gem rather than grow big and allows your partner to shine and glimmer like a gem.
All Pokémon in Paldea can Terastallize to gain special powers, and Terastallization allows players to enhance their battle strategies by increasing the power of any moves that have the same type as their Pokémon’s Tera Type. There are 18 types, meaning there are countless combinations of Pokémon and Tera Types.
