PlayStation VR2 Will Launch In Early 2023

Sony’s PlayStation VR2 headset will arrive in early 2023, the company has confirmed on Twitter and Instagram. We’ve been getting a steady drip of news since the beginning of the year but it seems like the next few months will have more information alongside a timeframe of when to expect the newest virtual reality headset.

I’m a huge fan of the original PSVR and while I do have some instances of motion sickness, my overall experience has been nothing short of pleasant and worthwhile. Now, we’re looking to the future of the technology and Sony has promised some exciting changes and advancements including 4K resolution and also the ability to run at 90 or 120 Hz alongside 110-degree FOV.

In May, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at Hong Kong-based TF International Securities, said Sony was ramping up production and we would likely see PSVR 2 in early 2023. We also have seen some of the features that will help you when customizing the user experience at home, including See-Through View, Broadcasting, Customzied Play Area, and more. Sony also revealed that at launch there will be 20 major titles including Horizon Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky, and Resident Evil Village
