We’re already a year into Sony’s revamped PlayStation Plus tiered subscription service, and PlayStation is looking to add another perk for PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers who own a PS5 as game cloud streaming support for the console’s native titles is currently being tested, according to a PlayStation Plus game catalogue update on the PlayStation Blog.
Such titles that will be supported when the ‘Premium’ feature rolls out include titles in the game catalogue, titles users already own in their digital library, and game trials. The new PlayStation Plus perk is set to give Premium subscribers an easier time jumping into their favourite games without waiting for the game they want to play to finish downloading. The goal of the new feature is to give more value to the Premium tier, which has been lacking since last year’s re-launch. No exact details on when PS5 game streaming will launch, but only stay tuned until then.
In addition to the news, we also got an update on the upcoming titles coming to Sony’s game catalogue for PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium subscribers, which will all be added on June 20th. Check out the full list below:
