I always find it is interesting to see what top games people are playing throughout the year as it generally gives an idea of what people are putting their money into. PlayStation has revealed the most downloaded games of 2021 in the PlayStation Store and it’s about what you’d expect — a lot of great titles mixed in with annual releases.
Does it really surprise me that Call of Duty is high on the list? No, not at all but this year’s entry hasn’t done well with fans but still sold well. I’m happy to see Returnal and Kena: Bridge of Spirits on the list though, two games I think didn’t resonate well with a lot of people (more so Returnal) and seeing Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales high on that list is to be celebrated — but I’m surprised to see Deathloop near
