Fall is finally in the air, and as we head into spooky season, Sony announced its October 2026 PlayStation Plus lineup in a blog post. Essential-tier and higher subscribers can add to their library from October 6th through November 2nd. PlayStation Plus subscribers at any tier have until this coming Monday to add this month’s games – Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes to their library.
This month, PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting three games, mostly available for those rocking a PS5 console, including F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defence Force: World Brothers 2.

F1 25 (PS5)

Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PS5)

Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 (PS4 & PS5)
“The square Earth is under attack by giant enemies. Teammates scattered around the world are waiting to be rescued. Select 4 teammates from among those you have collected and create your own team. Design the team perfect for your play style, select your equipment, and then deploy to battle,” a synopsis in a PlayStation Blog post writes.
“In addition to soldiers from the mainline EDF series, this game also includes soldiers from the EDF spin-offs, and enemies who ravaged the planet in previous releases have also crossed over into this world to join the fight. Enjoy fighting numerous enemies, including redesigned voxel versions of old favourites, as well as new enemies unique to this release. Enjoy four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen on PS5 and PS4.”
That’s not all. As part of the company’s PlayStation Plus subscription this month, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming to Sony Pictures Core the same day as the PlayStation Plus drop, and to celebrate the release, Sony is releasing five themed Spider-Man: Brand New Day packs featuring prominent characters from the movie, including Spider-Man, MJ, Ned, and more.
In addition, PlayStation is celebrating the spooky month with PlayStation Plus exclusive packs, including a Call of Duty: Warzone Horror Bundle releasing on October 1st, a Hunt: Showdown 1896 Starter Pack releasing on October 6th, and an Overwatch 2 Dragur Reinhardt + 5 Tier skips Pack releasing on October 7th.
