PlayStation Now Launches on Samsung Smart TVs

Starting today, the PlayStation Now game streaming service is available on select Samsung Smart TVs. Consumers in the United States and Canada will have easy access to hundreds of PlayStation 3 games streamed from the cloud directly to their Samsung Smart TV – no consoles, downloads, or trips to the store needed. This partnership helps expand the world of PlayStation to an even broader audience.

The service will launch as an app that can be accessed through Samsung’s Smart Hub. Once launched, games are played using the critically acclaimed DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller (sold separately). PlayStation Now on Samsung Smart TVs will support all functionality of the service, including the ability to earn in-game trophies, play games online with friends, and save your game progress in the cloud.

A subscription service for PlayStation Now rolled out earlier this year, providing unlimited access to over 100 games. Users can choose from a monthly subscription plan for $19.99 per month or a three-month plan for $44.99, breaking down to about $15 per month. A free 7-day trial for the PS Now game streaming subscription is available through the PS Now app on Samsung Smart TVs. Users also have the option to rent individual games for a set period of time. Both subscriptions and rentals are available starting today on Samsung Smart TVs.

PlayStation Now is currently offered on a variety of PlayStation platforms, including the PlayStation 4. Gamers have access to a range of PS3 games including action, fighting, open world, racing, RPG, shooter, & sports. PlayStation Now offers something for everyone, representing a selection of the best PS3 games from the gaming industry’s top developers and publishers.
