One of the biggest peeves I have with the PlayStation 5 is that it sometimes defaults to the PlayStation 4 version of a game on my console. I’m working my way through Bugsnax and it was only recently that I noticed it was starting with the PS4 version over the PS5. It’s an easy swap when you see it but it’s still a nuisance that it happens.

As spotted by Twitter user Tidux, the issue on PlayStation has been addressed somewhat, with a new update now telling you if you’re playing the wrong version of a game with a prompt. If you’ve officially moved over to your new console as your main like many already have, this is likely going to make your play sessions better as it serves as a great way to ensure you’re playing the proper version on your new console.
