Planet Zoo 2

Planet Zoo 2 Extends The Zoo — Adds Aquatic And Flying Species

We’re going to need a bigger zoo!  This as Planet Zoo 2 will add a number of aquatic and flying creatures to the much-loved zoo simulator when it launches later this year.

The inclusion of two new A-named enclosers — the aviary and the aquarium — will make Cambridge, U.K.-based Frontier Developments’ zoo manager more robust, as zoo keepers now have new forms of conservation into the mix.

Planet Zoo 2 features a wider range of animals, each with their own needs. Zookeepers will need to craft habitats that mirror certain species’ natural environments, creating an authentic home for the animals and an amazing experience for the guests.

Also new to Planet Zoo 2 is the ability to travel outside the zoo, and restore Wildlife Reserves where you can send your animals back into their natural habitats!

Below the saltwater and freshwater waves, Black-tipped Reef Sharks, Hawksbill Turtles, and colourful shoals of fish are just a handful of the animals joining Planet Zoo 2

Above the ground, in the aviaries, live birds such as the vibrant Toco Toucan and the majestic Secretary Bird. These habitats also serve as walkable attractions that can be configured as extra entertainment for guests!

From customizing habitats and matching them to the right kinds of animals, to creating immersive, educational, and exciting spaces for zoo guests to interact and learn, Planet Zoo 2 offers players a more meaningful management experience. From managing staff morale and training to constructing the perfect habitat, it’s vital for budding zookeepers to balance guest satisfaction with animal well-being to boost their ratings and ensure their zoo becomes a roaring success as it grows.

Grow your zoo even more by pre-ordering Planet Zoo 2 today to receive the Bonus Content Pack at launch, which includes the Toucan Eat Shop and Signage, three Unique Animal Donation Bins, and the Tiger Photo Stand-In Wall.

The Planet Zoo 2: Deluxe Edition extends your ticket even further by including the base game and the Planet Zoo 2: Deluxe Upgrade Pack. This introduces an additional six animal species from across the globe, as well as a selection of exclusive animal signs to decorate.

Planet Zoo 2 brings the animals to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 13, 2026.
