It feels like forever since we’ve had a boxing game. I may not watch as much boxing as I used to but I still boot up Fight Night for Xbox 360 and find myself hours later wishing the series existed on current platforms.
That all may change when Undisputed launches.
Seeing Undisputed from Steel City Interactive and publisher Plaion gives me hope for the genre.
“As gamers and boxing fans, Undisputed is our tribute to the sport that we love,” said Steel City Interactive CEO Ash Habib. “We’re delighted to partner with PLAION, who share our passion to bring boxing back to players. Their expertise and support will allow us to focus on making Undisputed the king-of-the-ring of boxing games.”
When Undisputed launching, it will bring with it over 50 fighters including Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Deontay Wilder, and Katie Taylor. To be even more authentic, there is support from the World Boxing Council, the British Boxing Board of Control, Empire, and many more.
The studio confirms that Undisputed is launching on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC with an Early Access period on Steam.
