After launching on the Nintendo Switch three years ago, Q-Games will port PixelJunk Eden 2 to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and P this year.
On the official PlayStation Blog, Dylan Cuthbert announced the port is coming later this year.
“The PixelJunk series is close to the hearts of many players who have been with us since the PlayStation 3 days, so being able to share this eagerly awaited sequel to 2008’s PixelJunk Eden with more of our community is a special moment,” Dylan Cuthbert, Game Director and CEO and Q-Games said.. “As part of our 15th-anniversary celebrations, we’re thrilled to be able to bring both PixelJunk Scrappers Deluxe and PixelJunk Eden 2 to fans on PlayStation and PC this year. Not only that, but there’s more in store for PixelJunk fans. So watch this space!”
Players explore Eden as Grimp, tiny creatures with the ability to climb and collect pollen as they swing from silk. When nearby seeds fill with collected pollen, the garden will evolve and expand, constantly growing and changing in response to the player’s actions.
The PS5 version includes 4K visuals and DualSense implementation to make controls immersive. The controller’s light bar reacts to the current level with a unique light show unfolding for every environment. Exploring Eden means yo’ll encounter new ways to feel the unique vibrations from the controller’s haptic feedback. And the team at Q-Games uses the gyro sensor for precise controls.
