Atlus is working on bringing Persona 5 The Animation to the West in September, we’ve learned. Set to launch on September 29, 2020, with the original cast attached. Originally airing in Japan between 2018 and 2019, Persona 5 The Animation is a fully adapted anime of the video game.
In the trailer, we see familiar scenes like Joker (or Ren Amamiya) dealing Kamoshida’s Shadow from the first Mind Palace. We also get to hear Xander Mobus finally take on the role of Joker with full sentences, unlike the game which only included bits and pieces for the actor. It’s coming via Aniplex and will also stream on Crunchyroll in the West.
“The Complete Blu-ray Set features a never before heard English dub of Persona 5 The Animation starring the voices from the original Persona 5 video game by ATLUS. Also included are both special episodes, a twelve illustration card set, and additional bonus content.”
