Paramount Skydance Opens Paramount Games Studio

Per Variety, Paramount has consolidated its gaming studios under one banner: Paramount Games Studio.

Paramount says it’s combining Skydance Interactive and Skydance New Media to work on its IP. Fans wondering about Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra can breathe a sigh of relief, as the game is still in development despite its delay. There’s also an unannounced Star Wars title in development within the company.

“This division launch marks a meaningful evolution in how we think about games – not as an extension of our business, but as a core pillar of our content strategy alongside film, television, and streaming,” Driscoll said. “We are committed to creating exceptional games for every type of player, from casual to AAA, and building enduring experiences across our beloved Paramount IP and original worlds that deepen fan engagement and drive long-term growth.”

Tony Driscoll, the current head of corporate strategy and development, is the president of Paramount Games Studio. He’s joined by Skydance Games’ Dan Prigg, the former head of Skydance Interact and new executive VP, head of games, and Shawn Kittelsen, appointed to senior vice president, head of creative & production.

Regarding Skydance New Media, Amy Henning is no longer the co-president, having moved to serve as the creative director of Paramount Games Studio.

Summer Game Fest kicks off today at 2 PM PT/5 PM ET. While no games have been teased by Paramount, I wouldn’t put it past the company to re-reveal Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra in some capacity.
